The video art based on the famous Japanese ghost story “A Phone Call from Mary*”, the film researches the Family Registration Law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and removes the frame of “family” from the original Mary, who is excluded from her “family” and returns to her “family”, and rethinks from “individual”.
The practice of retelling existing stories.
*a story of “A Phone Call from Mary”……A ghost story about a doll that was thrown away when the family moved out. “I’m Mary. I’m at the dump,” “I’m at the mall,” “I’m in front of your house,” the caller informs the former owner that they are getting closer and closer. Finally, a phone call that says, “I’m right behind you………” ends this ghost story.
