個展「蔓・ねじ・カノン」（ラルテ、東京、2023）での展示/ the photo at the solo exhibition “tendril, screw, canon”(L’arte, Tokyo, 2023)
パフォーマンス映像作品。
黒い服を着て、フルフェイスのヘルメットをつけた匿名性の高い人物が画面に入って、リュックを下ろし、ベルトを外す。そこからカラースプレーをヘルメットに吹き付けて「洗顔」をする。
自分の装いや雰囲気を変化させることは、それぞれの場に合わせてのマナーである。それと同時に、意識的に変化させることが、生きのびるための手段である人もいる。
この作品には、トランスジェンダーのMiyabiの切実さが内包されている。
Performance video.
An anonymous figure dressed in black and wearing a full-face helmet enters the screen, puts down his rucksack and unbuckles his belt. Then spray the helmet with color spray to “wash” it.
It is good manners to change one’s attire and ambiance to suit each occasion. At the same time, for some, conscious change is a means of survival.
The seriousness of Miyabi, a transgender person, is included in this work.
